C/R: Chief, Pastor Allegedly Killed And Buried Nurse Secretly At Mankessim

A 22-year-old aspiring trainee nurse, Georgina Asor Botchwey has been killed and buried secretly by a Chief and Pastor at Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.

According to information gathered by AfricaNewsArenaGh's Adom Nanaa Odiasempa Savvy has it that, the Chief is the Tufuhen of Ekumfi Akwakrom and also President for the Mankessim Traders Association, Nana Onyaa Clark with the Pastor kidnapped the student nurse after having sexual activity with her and further demands money from the victim's family members of which she was killed and buried secretly at the one of the Chief's room at Mankessim.

The Pastor was arrested and following police interrogation led the team to the Chief's house, where the student was buried. The body was suspected to be buried weeks ago.

The body was retrieved from the Chief's house and with her was her bag, pair of shoes, and other belongings.

Speaking to AfricaNewsArenaGh's Adom Nanaa Odiasempa Savvy, some of the residents expressed their displeasure about the issue.

They said, they are now living in fear and panic and wondering how a Chief they know has been involved in such act.

As at now, the Chief has runaway.

Speaking in an interview, the Assembly Member for the Anaafo-Estate Electoral Area, Hon. Cephas Arthur called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to beef up security in the Mankessim and its environment.

According to the Assembly Member, this is not the first time such incident has happened in the Mankessim.

"This is the fifth time such incident has within this year."

He further called on the law court to be dealt with the Chief and Pastor.

The body of the victim has been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
